. . FAQ: Are his eyes photoshopped? No, his eyes are not photoshopped. Zephyr has a condition called heterochromia, also known as odd-eyes. This causes him to have two different eyecolours.
Is his eye naturally this blue? Yes, I don't edit his eyes apart from the general editing of the whole picture. I don't make them more vibrant or anything. The exact shade of blue kinda depends on the lighting, but his eye is extremely blue for Turkish Angora's and other white cats anyway. Normally they're very light and you only see this kind of blue on pointed cats like Siamese.
Is he blind in his blue eye? No, he isn't.
I heard that dominant white cats with blue eyes are deaf. Is Zephyr deaf on the side of his blue eye? Again no. Zephyr has perfect hearing. It's a common misconception that white cats with one or two blue eyes are always deaf. However, this is not true. About 70% of the white odd-eyed cats can hear. The chances of hearing are even bigger if the cat was born with has any speck of colour in his coat even if this fades with age. Zephyr was born with a few dark spots on his head [picture]. He has perfect hearing.
He's real... right? Most definitely, and I love him and his half sister Aella to bits! ♥
